Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Project Cost Controller to join our growing Project Controls team in Mississauga Ont. 

Reporting to the project Controls Manager the Cost Controller will is responsible for the accurate, effective, and timely control of Project costs and accounting functions to produce results in alignment with the client’s and project’s requirements.  

The tasks you'll perform

  • To produce accurate and timely reports as and when required by the clients and by senior management within Lycopodium.
  • Make certain that Lycopodium clients and internal customers are given the highest service level obtainable making the most efficient use of the resources
  • Ensure the quality of output of the allocated Cost and accounting teams, and that they are aligned with the needs of the project / study, the company objectives and meets the requirements of the client.
  • Develop and maintain the various project cost and accounting specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable efficient work and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work. 

The expertise you'll bring

  • Formal post-graduate qualifications in Accounting (CPA, CA).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in project-related accounting and cost control. 
  • Computerized accounting and cost control and logistics systems, and their operation and applications.
