A bit about the role 

As a Product Design Manager, you’ll lead an exciting greenfield project that’s set to redefine our customer journey. You’ll own the entire design process—from concept to delivery—bringing your creative vision to life. Beyond this exciting project, you’ll manage a small, talented team of designers, guiding them to produce exceptional work across various Luxury Escapes products. 

Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering innovative features, providing constructive feedback to your team, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving the strategic vision for multiple products under your leadership. 

This role is based in Sydney with our brand-new office conveniently located just a short walk from Wynyard station. We thrive on collaboration, with 4 days spent in the office and 1 day working from home each week. 

Our Product Design team 

The Luxury Escapes Product Design Team is a group of passionate experts who work closely together to craft exceptional experiences for our customers. We foster a highly collaborative environment, emphasising mutual support, continuous learning, and having fun throughout the journey.  

• We start each day with brief stand-ups to get everyone up to speed on ongoing projects 
• We host weekly Design Forums for designers to showcase their work and get feedback from the whole design team 
• We engage in regular customer testing and share "UX Weekly Insights" with the rest of the business 
• We do monthly team retros to acknowledge successes and explore areas for improvement.  

What You’ll Do: 

• Lead with Vision: Drive the creative strategy for a highly anticipated new product, delivering features that delight and engage our customers
• Design Excellence: Get hands-on with design tools, creating and iterating on user-friendly solutions that meet both user needs and business goals
• Mentor and Inspire: Guide, coach, and provide feedback to your team, helping them reach their full potential
• Strategic Influence: Collaborate closely with the Director of Design and another Product Design Manager to align on and advance our company’s design vision
• Communicate Impactfully: Present your ideas and solutions to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Optimise Workflow: Prioritise and manage your team’s design workload to ensure seamless project execution. 

What we're looking for   

• You bring extensive experience in user-centred product design, with a proven track record of leading end-to-end design processes for complex digital products
• You’ve successfully managed and mentored designers, helping them grow their skills and deliver exceptional results
• You’re an expert in Figma, with deep knowledge of prototyping and design systems
• You excel at working both independently and with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers
• You thrive in fast-paced environments, expertly juggling priorities to deliver on tight timelines.
