We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a skilled candidate to join us in the role of Capital Interface and Transition Manager. This position will manage and oversee the project scoping, delivery, transition, handover and operational efficiency of critical airport infrastructure across a range of projects including civil, airfield, landside and technology in close coordination with the capital works team.

This involves coordinating with project teams for smooth transitions, lifecycle management, and enhancing both operational efficiency and customer experience while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the main interface for project integration, overseeing operational efficiency and collaboration with various departments.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring governance, accountability, and alignment with Launceston Airport strategies.
  • Establish strong communication channels and provide real-time project updates to stakeholders.
  • Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, maximising operational performance and client outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and customer service excellence.
  • Coordinate project teams to minimise impacts on airport operations and manage change smoothly.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management and ensure effective transition, including documentation and training.
  • Review and approve work permits, ensure ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transition) plans are in place, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Lead process improvements and contribute to organisational goals through collaboration and problem-solving.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications related to project management, aviation or construction management (desired)
  • Experience with infrastructure management and project integration (desired).
  • Experience and understanding of airport operations and aviation security requirements for airports.
  • Project and change management skills and experience
  • Experience in Operational Readiness Activation and Testing documentation development and roll-out
