ABOUT LASERBOND 

LaserBond (est 1992) has pioneered the research, development and implementation of advanced surface engineering techniques to dramatically reduce wear rates of critical components to a broad range of industries. Increasing production life while reducing operating and maintenance costs for our customers.

LaserBond is a dynamic and growing organisation with facilities in NSW, QLD, SA & VIC. Our specially built factory in Altona, VIC provides specialist services including manufacturing new parts and repairing existing components. With an extensive machining and grinding workshop (manual and CNC) along with thermal spray, hardfacing and laser cladding cells, both manual and robotic.

THE ROLE & CANDIDATES

LaserBond is seeking a First Year Apprentice to undertake their trade (Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade) at our Altona, Victoria premises. As a Fitting and Machining Apprentice you will undertake a variety of training on manual and CNC machines, while also learning about LaserBond's specialised processes.

This is a four-year apprenticeship that will include training and assessment, both on site and LaserBonds training provider.

To be considered for this position you will have:

•   Good mechanical aptitude.

•   Good understanding of mathematics.

•   Willingness to listen and take direction.

•   Commitment to building on your skills.

•   Safe work ethics.

•   Second- & Third-year Apprentice are welcome to apply.
