Ongoing, part-time 40 hours per fortnight

About the Role

Reporting to the Director People & Culture, this newly created role will plan, develop, implement and evaluate wellbeing and safety initiatives that build and strengthen staff health and wellbeing. The primary objectives of the role are:

  • Define, lead and manage KDHS' psychosocial risk management program;
  • Provide leadership and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislative requirements
  • Provide creative and innovative strategies to promote wellbeing aligned with KDHS' strategic priority "A dynamic, capable and supported workforce".
  • Oversee and enhance services provided to staff and managers, including psychosocial risk advisory, respectful workplace behaviors, wellbeing, family violence support and employee assistance services.

 About You

  • Relevant qualification in occupational health & safety or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading and managing OHS function of an organisation
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and policy
  • Experience leading, developing, implementing and evaluating dynamic work health and safety and/or wellbeing programs
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
