The Opportunity:
As the Payroll Services Manager, you will lead and oversee the payroll function across Australia & New Zealand, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll for all employees. You will manage a team of payroll professionals and work closely with P&C, Finance, and other key departments to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of payroll processing and compliance regulations.
- Lead and manage the Payroll Services team of 6, including facilitating team meetings, conducting one-on-one check-ins, overseeing performance cycles, and managing leave requests. Serve as the primary escalation point for all payroll-related issues.
- Manage the team's workflow to ensure operational efficiency and the timely completion of payroll tasks in alignment with business needs.
- Ensure the payroll team consistently delivers outstanding customer service by promptly addressing pay-related inquiries and maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Develop and implement risk management and business continuity plans to safeguard payroll operations and ensure seamless service delivery under all circumstances.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Extensive experience in payroll processing, within a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations.
- Experience with payroll software such as SAP ECC6, CATS, and SuccessFactors is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or similar certification will be advantageous.
