The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

This role is a permanent full-time opportunity based out of a client site in the Bowen Basin.

The core responsibilities for this position are:

  • Look at ways to maximise Komatsu equipment’s availability, reliability and productivity
  • Providing technical support, diagnostics and troubleshooting for Komatsu fleet
  • Reporting on regular machine issues
  • Creating detailed technical documentation and providing recommendations / resolutions for equipment performance issues

Role Located: Bowen Basin (mine-site)

Shift: 7 days on and 7 days off, Thursday to Wednesday, day shift only.

Remuneration: Approximate salary of $150,000 - $165,000 per year, plus fleet vehicle and paid accommodation.

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have your Cert III or Equivalent in Electrotechnology (Electrician) & QLD Electrical License
  • Experience working as a Field Service Technician is preferred with exposure to breakdown, repairs and diagnostics
  • Previous experience working in a mine-site is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical drawings.
  • An understanding of maintenance targets including availability, reliability, parts management and component life cycle management.
  • Ability to analyse / troubleshoot complicated hydraulic, mechanical and electrical technical problems and provide solutions.
  • Current driver's license
  • Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
