The Opportunity:

Komatsu is seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor - Maintenance to join our team at Batchfire Mine Site. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance, who is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.

What we are looking for:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical maintenance, or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within the mining or heavy equipment industry
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Oversee maintenance operations, ensuring all work is completed to Komatsu standards and mine site requirements
  • Manage a team of technicians and tradespeople, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain high productivity and morale
  • Collaborate with site management to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal equipment downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety meetings to uphold health and safety protocols
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and technical issues, implementing solutions to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for equipment servicing, repairs, and inventory usage.
