The Opportunity:

In this role, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that Komatsu’s world-class machinery is maintained to the highest standards. Your leadership will help drive safety, efficiency, and performance on-site. If you have a proven track record in maintenance, strong leadership skills, and experience with heavy mining equipment, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

Roster: Monday to Friday – 50 hours per week

Role Located: Curragh Mine Site

Salary: $187,883.84 + Allowances

What we are looking for:

  • Trade qualification – HV Electrical and/or Mechanical
  • Must possess a Qld Drivers’ License
  • National Accredited Skills such as Aircon, Forklift and Crane Tickets would be advantageous.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Qld Coal Board Medical that does not restrict you from carrying out duties as set down in this Position Description.
  • Excellent knowledge of Komatsu Machines. Previous experience on Komatsu 930E-4, WA-1200-6, and Komatsu Excavators would be advantageous
  • Experienced with Komatsu Manuals maintenance manuals, parts manuals and schematic drawings and comprehension of them
  • Must have or be able to obtain a the Qld Black Coal Generic Induction (S11)
  • Must be able to undertake a Supervisory Role on site with prior experience and qualifications
  • Must have or be able to obtain a the Qld Black Coal Generic Induction (S11), S123, G2 Qualifications
  • General knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Have an excellent understanding and commitment to Safety and the Environment.
  • Must have well developed written and oral skills.
  • The ability to communicate with the Customer, Komatsu and Site Personnel.
  • Ability to work with the minimum of Supervision in a Safe and Efficient manner.
  • Must have the appropriate demeanour to create and work in a positive team atmosphere.
  • Have a high level attitude for continuous Improvement within your Field of Expertise.
