The Opportunity:

As a Machine Specialist at Komatsu, you'll be involved with supporting the worlds largest fleet of Komatsu autonomous haul trucks operating with top tier mining companies across Australia.

Your primary role is to provide quality product support for our customers both internal and external.

This will include in-depth troubleshooting, machine commissioning, remote support and structured failure analysis.

Working as part of the Mining Automation team, this is an opportunity to work with the latest mining technology and help shape the future of the product.

Role Located: Welshpool, WA

Roster: Monday to Friday (with hybrid availability)

What we are looking for:

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematic diagrams
  • Experience with technology, automation, and machine control systems in mining or industrial environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in hydraulics and electrical systems
  • Strong IT skills, including familiarity with MS Suite
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN Bus, RS232, TCP/IP networks (Wi-Fi & LTE desirable)
  • Data analysis and systematic failure analysis expertise
  • Exposure to fleet management systems
  • Capability to develop technical reports and training materials
  • Higher study or a demonstrated commitment to learning (highly regarded)
