What is a Customer Support Representative (CSR)?

As a CSR, you’ll be the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, managing enquiries, coordinating orders, and ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely information. You’ll use Komatsu’s internal systems and processes to handle order tracking, liaise with local vendors and transport providers, and interpret parts to deliver tailored solutions. By working closely with various departments and external partners, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining high service standards and delivering exceptional customer support.

What are the career pathways for a CSR at Komatsu?

Upon completion of your 2-year CSR Traineeship, you will be equipped to pursue advancement opportunities within Customer Support. Potential roles include:

  • Customer Support Centre Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Customer Projects Coordinator
  • Customer Support Sales Representative

The Opportunity:

This 2-year program offers a comprehensive introduction to Komatsu’s internal systems, processes, and customer support functions. You’ll develop a strong understanding of order coordination, parts interpretation, and customer relationship management in a professional, office-based environment.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Parts Interpretation: Learn to identify and interpret a wide range of parts using Komatsu systems, enabling you to provide precise solutions to customers.
  • Order Management: Manage the end-to-end order process, from sourcing to delivery coordination.
  • Customer Communication: Develop essential communication skills to handle enquiries, resolve issues, and deliver timely updates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across procurement, logistics, and technical support to ensure seamless customer service.
