The Opportunity:
Komatsu is seeking a Reman Trades Assistant to join the East Reman Support team based at Brisbane, Queensland. Reporting to the Leading Hand, the purpose of this position is to assist trades people in the Reman section of the business.
Roster: Monday to Thursday 6-2:30pm (optional OT to 4:30pm), 6-12pm Fridays (optional OT to 2:30pm), Optional OT on Saturdays

What we are looking for:
- Current Driver’s Licence. Forklift ticket (Advantageous)
- A ‘can do’ attitude and positive outlook
- Able to demonstrate a basic level of computer literacy, troubleshooting skills, safe manual handling techniques, as well as risk assessment process and hazard identification.
- Ability to communicate and work with internal departments seamlessly on a daily basis whilst demonstrating an understanding of our customer’s requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety within the workplace
- Forklift duties, maintaining and organising Reman yard up to production standard.
- Receipt incoming parts and distribute to all departments.
- Dispatch all outbound parts/subcon/components by complying with QLD transport requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment with flexibility to move where the work is required.
- Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of Komatsu components and carry out all repairs to the highest quality.
- Ability to work along side a Reman technician and carry out tasks as instructed in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure all repairs and tasks are performed within the set standard hours.
- Ability to follow SWP’s and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that timesheets, service reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
