Komatsu Forklift Australia promote, sell, hire and service the full range Komatsu and OMG forklifts, from powered pallet trucks through to 25 tonne container handlers with niche products also available to ensure that we have the right solution for our customer's needs. 

The Opportunity: 

Komatsu Forklifts is after an Operations Manager on a permanent full-time basis to look after our Victorian State.

This role will manage and lead a team of 16 employees with 14 being direct reports composing of Field Service / Workshop Technicians, Parts Administrators, Service Coordinators and Sales Reps.

The team is well established and was great team morale that has been built upon over the past few years.

Some of the key responsibilities:

  • Management and delegation of day-to-day duties for each team member with regular check-ins and performance reviews
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the team is as efficient as possible whilst providing the best possible customer experience
  • Providing quotation to customers in addition to building and presenting business proposals.
  • Conduct regular audits of HSE and ensure compliance and governance is adhered to
  • Ensure all team members are enabled for success in their positions and are able to provide feedback on challenges or issues as they arise
  • Weekly, quarterly and monthly reporting on the PNL, Budgeting and WIP Performance

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working as a Service/Workshop Manager, State or Territory Manager or Operations Manager
  • Previous industry experience working in EWP, Hire Industry, Construction or Equipment is advantageous
  • Must have leadership experience and strong team management skills
  • Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting and reporting building (PNL, WIP Reports)
  • Must have an understanding of Service Centre operations and safety standards, protocols and procedures
  • The ability to communicate effectively with employee’s, supervisors and managers
  • A leader who can enable their team and drive growth development plans and strategies
  • A current Forklift and Driver's License
