We are looking for experienced pharmacists to provide daily support to our clinical team, ensuring appropriate stock is available, complete medication reviews and patient education – after-hours pharmacy support should be available if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high level multifaceted clinical pharmacy services and leadership to in-patients at our patient suites.
  • Contribute to practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve medicines management for patients accessing Pharmacy services
  • Exercise independent professional judgement in resolving problems, with more complex clinical decisions and problem solving made with professional guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services in line with professional standards across a variety of patient cohorts. 
  • Demonstrate high level knowledge, skills and experience and apply professional judgement to a broad and complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence to ensure quality use of medicines across clinical pharmacy services. 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care.

Mandatory qualifications 

  • Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. 
  • Demonstration of recognised expertise, knowledge and skills obtained through professional development activities, clinical experience, postgraduate education or formal qualifications.
  • While not mandatory a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy would be well regarded.
  • Disclosure of Serious Disciplinary History: Under the Public Sector Act 2022
  •  It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment  
  • Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) 
  • Varicella (chicken pox) 
  • Pertussis (whooping cough) 
  • Hepatitis B 
  • Tuberculosis

Essential Documentation/Declarations:

  • Police Check with no disclosable offences, ensuring suitability for employment.
  • Australian Workers Rights documentation, affirming eligibility for employment in Australia.
  • Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 & Influenza, prioritising patient and staff safety.
  • Reliable Transportation, enabling timely attendance for shifts and on-call duties.
