With a healthy and growing pipeline of work, we are looking for an agile and talented Digital Engineering Coordinator to contribute to our ongoing growth.
What you'll do:
- Audit, federate and coordinate Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) models for multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements
- Amend and implement the Digital Engineering Management Plan (DEMP)
- Conduct clash detection to identify design conflicts, and host coordination meetings to identify clashes
- Perform regular quality control checks on VDC models to ensure accuracy and alignment with Level of Development (LOD) requirements
- Extract data from models to support project reporting, quantity take-offs, and sustainability calculations
- Use Openspace to continually validate trades installation equipment against the 3D models
- Integrate 3D lidar scans for existing, and as-built validation and verification
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on DE tools and processes
- Maintain and update project documentation and model data using platforms like BIM360 and SharePoint, which can be used to track and report on 4D & 5D information
- Liaise with the Design Managers, site team, and sub-contractors/trades to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in DE technology
- Actively engage in the DE development
About you:
- 5+ years’ industry experience in DE / BIM
- 2+ years’ experience in a DE/BIM coordination role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering and/or equivalent related field (desirable)
- Working knowledge of current local codes of practice and DE requirements, including ISO 19650, Victorian Digital Asset Strategy (VDAS), and the NCC
- Proficiency in Autodesk and Revit, and working knowledge other software tools, such as; 12D, Tekla, ReCap, and other relevant software
- Well versed with clash detection processing, reporting, and resolution using various DE tools
- Proven experience of various Common Data Environments (CDE) usage and management, including; ACC/BIM360, Aconex, and ProCore
- Experience with coordination software, such as; Navisworks, BIM360/ACC Model Coordination, Revizto, and other relevant platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, organisation, attention to detail, collaboration, and communication skills
