As we continue to expand, and with a healthy pipeline of work, we are looking for a talented and versatile Defects Supervisor to join our team. You will have demonstrated experience in a hands-on, customer facing role within the construction industry, with very strong relationship management skills having worked with a range of different stakeholders in the delivery of projects.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the end-to-end defect rectification process across our projects
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure high quality works and mitigation of defects
  • Apply your knowledge of contractual obligations
  • Coordinate the Defect Rectification process, including subcontractor supervision, ensuring rectification works comply with HSEQ standards and minor defect rectifications as required
  • Contribute to the administrative processes for customer care, including the defects register, warranty records, invoices
  • Obtain quotes for necessary works as required
  • Participate in regular progress meetings and communicate updates with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide consistent, positive customer service, ensuring strong communication at all times
  • Assist with final sign off and handover of defects

About you:

  • A passion for the construction industry, with previous experience in a similar Defects, Customer Care or Maintenance role
  • Trade background, with skills to conduct minor defect rectifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • A First Aid Certificate and Construction White Card
  • Knowledge of the commercial construction processes
  • Experience with Hammertech or similar safety systems (desirable)
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong organisation and coordination skills, as well as time management and prioritisation
  • Collaborative approach and a focus on teamwork
