About the role:
We are seeking a Retirement Living Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive Retirement Living team in the North Metropolitan area on a permanent part-time basis.
Whilst working in this rewarding role you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the village ensuring resident satisfaction with high standards of accommodation and associated services. You will promote general welfare of residents whilst maintaining independence, rental of units, and provide an onsite presence to co-ordinate resident queries.
The successful candidate will have strong customer service and budget management experience.
This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis. The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours each week over three week days at our Karrinyup, Watermans Bay and Trigg sites. Days of work will be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent Living Unit Co-ordination – enquiries and administration, transition new residents, welfare promotion, asset management, budget planning
- Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management
Key requirements:
- Able to prioritise workload and appropriately allocate tasks
- Effective communication skills
- An understanding of working within customer service standards whilst maintaining a professional image
- Leadership and motivation skills
- Computer competent, including use of Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement
- The ability to relate to and empathise with the elderly
- Knowledge of OSH and legal requirements relating to the aged care industry, Retirement Villages and Tenancy Acts Experience in asset and property maintenance/management, preferably in a service industry
- Experience in retirement village and/or aged care - desirable
- Knowledge of Building Codes of Australia and Australian Standards - desirable
- Relevant qualifications in business management or human services - desirable
- Current WA driver’s license and reliable vehicle
