About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to jumpstart their career. We are seeking a recent Graduate or someone in their final year of study to join us as a Finance Analyst based out of our Hume depot. In this position, you will provide strategic financial/commercial analysis, guidance and advice to the Zinfra Gas Services to influence and shape business outcomes and to actively support our teams. This position works closely with both our Finance and Operational teams to be responsible for driving sound financial performance towards the Business Unit goals.
Key Responsibilities include
- Provide insightful analytics and support for special projects, contributing to key decision-making processes
- Assist with finance project support, including strategic guidance, revenue mix analysis, claims, and pricing
- Prepare and analyse capital works (CAPEX) and operating budgets (OPEX), and monitor financial performance against targets, developing variance commentary
- Evaluate cost drivers and provide accurate forecasts for future costs
- Develop detailed reports on program performance, highlighting key insights
- Gain comprehensive experience in complex budgeting and forecasting within a large organization
- Support month-end activities, including general ledger postings, journal entries, and day-to-day financial decision-making
- Demonstrate leadership in managing and working with a team of finance professionals, even within a matrix reporting structure
About You
- A recent graduate or final-year student majoring in Accounting
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- A desire to pursue a Post Graduate qualification (CA / CPA) or already working towards obtaining one
- Familiarity with SAP and BI (Business Objects and BPC) would be an advantage
- Demonstrated knowledge of BI & SAP systems, preferably in areas like FI/CO/CATS/PS/HR/PM
