Overview of our role

Are you passionate about supporting SAP and corporate applications while leading initiatives that ensure smooth operations, continuous improvement, and innovation? Jemena is looking for a Senior Platforms Analyst to join our Corporate Platforms team and play a key role in delivering reliable and secure application services that drive our business forward.

As a Senior Platforms Analyst, you will:

• Ensure application stability: You’ll provide operational support, ensuring that all application services are reliable and available to the business. You’ll follow key processes like testing, releasing, and maintaining the integrity and security of our systems.
• Lead enhancements and improvements: You’ll be involved in the development of Enhancement Requests (ER), conducting system analysis, designing solutions, defining requirements, estimating timelines, and overseeing development, configuration, and implementation.
• Collaborate on projects: Whether part-time or full-time, you’ll contribute to projects led by the Program Delivery team, performing tasks that align with our project management methodologies and working closely with project managers to deliver results.
• Engage with stakeholders: You’ll work closely with application users to understand their evolving IT needs and ensure that the services provided meet agreed targets for quality and timeliness, enabling our business to thrive.

In this role, you’ll also be responsible for operating within our risk, governance, and IT frameworks, including adherence to Jemena's SDLC, project methodologies, IT standards, and ITIL change and service management processes. Your expertise will support the development and execution of strategic plans for applications, as well as ownership of product strategies and roadmaps for supported platforms.

A little about you

• In-depth experience in SAP Basis managing SAP environments
• Considerable experience with system implementation and support
• Experience in delivering services within a commercial framework
• Understands and can demonstrate experience in customer service delivery
• Good experience in SAP software upgrades and system refreshes
• Competent with SAP in memory applications and Cloud based technologies
• Good experience with Operating and Database systems supported by SAP Applications

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

• Sound understanding of IT, software development life cycle and project management methodologies
• Excellent analysis, problem management & design skills
• Excellent facilitation, negotiation & communication skills (verbal & written)
• Understanding of Change Management processes and able to work at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to gather and analyse user requirements and multi-task and prioritise work load
• Strong skills in analysis and design, along with sound understanding of ITIL, software development life cycle and project management methodologies
