Overview of our role

Are you passionate about cyber security and risk management? Do you enjoy collaborating with teams to find practical and effective solutions? We’re looking for a Digital Security and Risk Analyst to support our business in strengthening security and risk practices.

  • Partner with teams to embed security and risk awareness into everyday operations.
  • Support risk management processes by facilitating discussions and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for security improvements aligned with industry standards.
  • Work closely with technology teams to understand needs, address gaps, and enhance security.
  • Provide insights and guidance to help teams assess risks and make informed decisions.
  • Promote consistency in security standards across projects.
  • Contribute as a security analyst on various initiatives.

 A little about you

  • Strong analytical mindset with a track record of problem-solving and problem-identification.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both technology staff and business staff to achieve target outcomes
  • Broad cyber security understanding encompassing threats, standards and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both traditional risk methods (i.e. ISO 31000) and emerging (i.e. FAIR).
  • Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify findings, measure impact and communicate proposed mitigation, along with strong written, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills 

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in I.T, Business, Commerce or a related discipline experience required.
  • Knowledge of cyber security and risk frameworks.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for key business analysis functions such as process mapping, requirements documentation, benefits elicitation, tracking, etc.
  • Familiarity with utility operations, regulated and non-regulated business construct.
