About the role

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to schedule and/or dispatch work to field staff in accordance with the approved rolling schedule of 2+ weeks, manage in day jeopardies and emergency response work priorities and maximise crew and resource utilisation. This is a 7-month fixed term contract ending in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Develop rolling schedule to dispatch 
  • Dispatch work order schedule to crews
  • Plan/schedule the next 2+ weeks of work as required
  • Manage schedule changes
  • Manage in day jeopardies
  • Conduct job planning activities as required including:
  • Escalate work back to job planning
  • Complete work order finalisation activities as required
  • Inform customers and stakeholder on job status
  • Engage with Works Planning and Field Team to optimise crew utilisation, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness

About You

To be successful in this position you will be customer focused, assertive and be able to make timely decisions. You will also possess the following attributes:

  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to work unsupervised and assess when to seek further instructions and when to defer to manager
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and plan resources, including staff, plant and equipment
  • High level of skill in problem solving
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
