Overview of our role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy? Join Jemena as a DERMS(Distributed Energy Resource Management System) Technical Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in integrating Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) into our energy network.
In this role, you’ll:
- lead the registration, validation, and testing of DERs onto Jemena’s DERMS systems
- ensure smooth and efficient customer connections by managing the connection process
- take ownership of processing connections within the customer connections workflow
- drive continuous improvement of DER processes and systems, making a real impact
- ensure customer solar panel connections to invertor, meet new Australian standard.

A little about you
- Background in the distribution electricity industry, ideally in a hands-on OT role
- Experience with DERMS, SCADA, AMI, and asset connection/commissioning
- Knowledge of OT system configuration management
- Expertise in the Utilities or Telecommunications industry in two or more of the following: Applications Development, Solution Architecture, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Maintenance & Support
- Exposure to IIoT and M2M solutions (implementation and design)
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
- Deep knowledge of electricity distribution network topology and configuration management of SCADA, AMI, and DERMS
- Strong understanding of the Common Smart Inverter Profile (CSIP-Aus)
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Collaborative approach to working with product owners and application SMEs to deliver small to medium application enhancements
- Commitment to reliability, including participating in 24x7 on-call support to maintain service levels and resolve issues efficiently
