Overview of our role

Are you passionate about turning numbers into meaningful insights that drive real impact? We’re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join our supportive Commercial Finance team. In this role, you’ll work closely with and be guided by our Senior Finance Manager, contributing your finance expertise to help shape key business decisions.

You’ll bring a blend of strong technical accounting knowledge, system skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Your ability to produce high-quality data and translate it into clear business insights will be highly valued.

This role is a trusted partner within the organisation, working closely with a diverse group of team members, stakeholders, and operational leaders across Zinfra and Jemena. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting others, and being at the heart of where Finance and Operations meet.

A little about you

  • Knowledge of energy sector / utilities construction and maintenance preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team of finance professionals and non-finance key business partners
  • Proven ability to combine internal and external data to provide insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand finance subjects within a large and complex construction and maintenance business or utility
  • Identification and articulation of key business drivers and KPI measures

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Business, Commerce, Finance
  • Post Graduate qualification (CA / CPA)
  • Strong understanding of SAP and BI (Business Objects and BPC)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in BI & SAP systems (preferably incl. FI/CO/CATS/PS/HR/PM, etc)
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential in order distil insights when handling large volumes of data
