THE ROLE

JD Sports is on the lookout for a People Talent Consultant to join our dynamic Talent Team! In this role, you'll take the lead on end-to-end recruitment for retail management positions across select states. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to drive top-tier talent acquisition, lead seasonal hiring campaigns and new store openings, and enhance employer branding to attract and retain the best in the industry.

Reporting to the Retail People Talent Lead, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:  

  • Managing incoming roles via our ATS system, opening and posting vacancies on allocated job boards
  • Collaborate with Store Managers to gather recruitment briefs, ensuring the right fit for store needs
  • Maintain accurate candidate records throughout the recruitment lifecycle in the ATS system
  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for their portfolio: advertise roles, shortlist, phone screen candidates, coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers and manage all offer and feedback conversations
  • Proactively source candidates, building strong Talent pipelines for hard to fill roles
  • Participate in interviews and support hiring managers where required
  • Manage timely communication for both successful and unsuccessful candidates
  • Lead recruitment efforts for new store openings, ensuring talent is hired by allocated deadlines
  • Work closely with Area and State Managers to align recruitment priorities and communicate effectively
  • Work in collaboration with the wider TA team for all Talent initiatives
  • Support the People Operations team with right-to-work checks and employment contracts for seasonal hires
  • Monitor and manage candidate onboarding in partnership with People Operations

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in recruitment, either internal or agency, within retail or a similar industry
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Strong proactive sourcing skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Skilled in understanding and interpreting data and analytics
  • Experienced in managing a high volume of roles while adhering to deadlines
  • Proactive and creative with problem-solving
  • Adept at building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Proficient in multitasking
