Retail Supervisor Liquor Warehouse

The Isa Hotel is seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at the Liquor Warehouse.

The Liquor Warehouse is conveniently positioned behind the Isa Hotel and is opened 7 days a week offering Mount Isa’s biggest range and best value for beer, wine and spirits.

As the Retail Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for the efficient and profitable running of the Hotel bottle shop.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Supporting the management team by supervising the daily operation of the Retail area
• Coordinating the ongoing cleanliness and maintenance of cellar or liquor store areas and equipment
• Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials and accurate ticket writing
• Ensuring competitive stock pricing and maintaining stock control
• Participating in the review, development, and marketing of innovative services / promotional initiatives to maintain an edge in the marketplace and grow the business
• Providing direct supervision of team members
• Ensuring the financial profitability of the Retail operations by maintaining wages, GP, and turnover in line with the agreed budget.
• Observing and complying with relevant Legislation, Regulations, and Waymark Policies and Procedures

The following skills, behaviours, and qualifications are essential:

• 3 years experience in Liquor Retail Management would be desired but not essential
• Demonstrates a highly focused attitude to internal and external customer needs, responding proactively to needs at all times
• Ability to direct and lead team members and maintain responsible and efficient staffing levels
• Confident hands-on Retail Supervisor with a proven track record
• Passionate about the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification required.
