The Opportunity
We have reached a pivotal stage in our growth and are excited to welcome a Practice Manager to support our dedicated team.
This position has been thoughtfully established to enable our business leaders to focus on patient care and strategic growth, while you oversee the operational and administrative functions of the practice.

The Role
The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing the seamless daily operations of our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This includes managing a dynamic team who operate at multiple locations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment. Based in our rooms at The Wesley Medical Centre at Auchenflower, the Practice Manager will drive practice efficiency, foster staff development, maintain communication flow and deliver an exceptional patient experience through effective practice management, accreditation, and operational excellence.
A typical day would include:-
- Ensuring the smooth running of practice operations, including administration, scheduling, equipment maintenance and stock management,
- Leading from the front, you will step in to support the team where needed. while also managing and supporting the team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the practice's overall success.
- Overseeing billing, invoicing, and claims processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with health fund, Medicare, DVA and ADF
- Driving continuous improvement in practice systems and processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Leading the practice accreditation process and maintaining compliance with sterilisation, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
- Building positive relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders, including hospitals, government agencies, and referrers.
About You
You’ll be a hands-on, experienced and optimistic Practice Manager who thrives in a fast paced environment. You will be willing to work onsite in our Auchenflower rooms and travel to our Chermside rooms on a regular basis to keep in contact with our dispersed team.
You’re Organised and Strategic: You excel at managing people, processes, and priorities, keeping everything running smoothly.
You’re Experienced: You bring a background in practice management, ideally in a dental or surgical setting, and have a strong grasp of hospital, administrative and health fund and Medicare processes.
You’re Collaborative: You foster positive relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders utilising your exceptional communication skills.
You’re Detail-Oriented: You understand the importance of compliance, ensuring everything from billing to sterilisation adheres to industry standards.
You’re People-Focused: From leading performance conversations to organising team meetings and social events, you’re passionate about creating a positive and productive work culture.
