The Role

We’re looking for a Personal Assistant who thrives on variety and takes pride in their ability to support a senior medical specialist / director in his professional and personal life.

This isn’t just a job - it’s a trusted partnership. You’ll become the go-to person, managing his calendar, coordinating travel arrangements, bookkeeping, and supporting business and personal endeavours. Your proactive, thoughtful approach will help create stability, while your organisational skills will ensure no detail is overlooked. Your support will also play an important role in the practice’s success and your contribution will be genuinely appreciated.

The Work Schedule

  • Two Dedicated Days: You’ll spend two days onsite at the Chermside practice (Tuesdays and Thursdays), focusing on bookkeeping tasks and attending to the specialist’s requests.
  • Flexible Ad Hoc Hours: Outside these two days, you’ll need to be available to take occasional phone calls for assistance as needed. 
  • Opportunity for More: If you’re available for three days per week, there’s potential to take on additional responsibilities within the practice, such as supporting the Practice Manager with streamlining processes, practice financial management support, liaising with health funds, Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to manage claims and approvals.

About You

You’re an experienced and mature minded PA, EA, or administrator who is organised, tech savvy and seeking a part time position, either 2 or 3 days per week. You will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping processes and financial record management, with experience using MYOB or a similar bookkeeping software program. 

For those with advanced financial acumen, additional financial management responsibilities would be utilised in this role.

You will be a trusted, discreet professional who can confidently manage the complexities of supporting an accomplished individual with significant personal and business interests, approaching this role with patience, service and professionalism.

You value discretion, confidentiality and taking care of the details. 

About the Practice

You’ll be supporting a senior specialist / director of Brisbane North Eye Centre (BNEC), a respected provider of high-quality eye care services. Located in Chermside, BNEC specialises in advanced treatments and personalised care for patients. The practice is known for its commitment to excellence, cutting-edge technology, and a dedicated team of professionals.
