We’ve made it our business to understand how people want to live and work today, tomorrow and beyond and as you’d expect, we practise what we preach in our own workplace as well.

For more than two decades, Investa has led the way in making positive change in Australia’s workplaces. We’re an Australian diversified real estate company. We have a recognised track-record of investment and development across both office and living markets. Our purpose is to create a legacy of positive impact for our people, our customers, and for our investment partners. Investa designs buildings and communities for the way people work and live today – and the way we want to work and live in the future.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Manager to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a Commercial Facilities Manager with strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task effectively. You’ll be accountable for the efficient management of all building services, ensuring tenant satisfaction across assigned properties. This role requires a 7:30am/8am start, allowing you to walk through the building and address any needs before tenants begin their day. You’ll report directly to the Senior Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of building technical systems, with proficiency in managing building control operations.
  • Contractor Management: Experience in supervising and managing building contractors to ensure safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to tenants.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to complete monthly and incident reports, investigate issues, and maintain accurate records in a timely manner.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all contractors working on assigned buildings are inducted and compliant with building safety regulations and site requirements.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Proven experience in delivering superior customer service and building strong relationships with tenants.
  • Operational Leadership: Drive operational efficiency, proactively identifying and addressing building maintenance needs.
  • Financial and Time Management: Skilled in financial reporting, with a commitment to accurate, timely reporting.
  • Tech Proficiency: Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and a quick learner with corporate processes and systems.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Preferred trade certification: Electrical or air conditioning trade certificate or relevant degree qualification is highly regarded.
  • Commercial office experience: Previous facilities management experience within A-grade Commercial Office or Retail asset management, but not essential, open to different asset classes.
  • Relationship building: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and foster positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused: A service-oriented approach, dedicated to delivering exceptional tenant experiences.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, using operational data to inform choices.
  • An eye for detail and a proactive approach to solving building maintenance and tenant needs.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills to effectively balance various building management duties.

If you’re ready to make an impact as a Facilities Manager within a supportive and collaborative team, and you bring the technical expertise, customer focus, and hands-on experience required, we’d love to hear from you!
