We are currently seeking a Senior Property Manager who is a self-starter for a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave. Starting 1 November this fixed-term contract will see you responsible for managing and implementing Investa’s customer-centric property services in accordance with the Management Agreement to maximise the financial and operational performance of the portfolio. This highly autonomous role will be accountable for managing and building tenant relationships to improve tenant retention and enhance Investa’s reputation as a customer-focused business.

As our Senior Property Manager, you'll also provide operational support to the Asset Managers and Investment Managers to ensure the effective performance and management of the Portfolio and the team. Reporting to the Head of Property Management, this exciting role will manage an A-Grade asset in Sydney's CBD.

To continue achieving great outcomes for our tenants, investors, and staff, we are seeking an experienced property professional with the following skills, capabilities, and attributes:

  • You have honed your property management skills for at least five years, combining your expertise in commercial office buildings to add value for high-profile tenants.
  • You possess strong lease negotiation skills, knowing when to hold firm or compromise to reach an agreement that meets Investa’s business needs.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can provide clear and concise proposals and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage a busy portfolio with multiple capital expenditure projects.
  • You understand asset ownership drivers and can articulate how property management services contribute to the effective utilisation of and returns from assets.
  • You are customer-focused and self-driven to provide first-class customer service, ensuring the performance of the asset is optimised and the asset is managed effectively and in accordance with the terms of all tenancy leases.
  • You are skilled and can demonstrate achievements in building high-level customer relationships and improving tenant retention.
  • You are experienced in preparing, managing, and monitoring annual budget plans.
  • You manage your time well and provide timely and accurate reports to meet deadlines.
  • You are tertiary qualified, ideally in property and/or a related discipline, with a career history of not less than five years in commercial property management.
  • Numerate and competent in financial and property management systems with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Your commercial property management know-how and practice have given you a sound understanding of property fundamentals and valuation principles.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Qualification in property or a related discipline.
  • Some retail experience will be desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrates extensive experience in commercial Property Management.
  • Proven people management experience.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in leading lease negotiations and lease documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient communication skills (verbal and written), including report writing.
