At Investa we’re currently seeking a dynamic Data & Analytics Lead to drive the creation of cutting-edge data solutions, insightful analytics and visualisations that support the business decisions and innovation.  Partnering and managing a small data and analytics team you will work closely with stakeholders and various external agencies to oversee the development and maintenance of the Data Estate, leveraging cloud-based technologies and best practices.  As our Data & Analytics Lead, you’ll foster a data-driven culture and empower stakeholders across the organization with data literacy and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership of the data and analytics function, aligning the vision, goals, and roadmap with the business strategy and priorities.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our Investa Data Estate, which includes Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, Azure SQL, and 3rd Party Integrations.
  • Define and execute the data and analytics strategy and relevant component of the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and priorities.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the Investa Data Estate, ensuring it meets the current and future data needs of the organisation.
  • Management and development of a small team of data engineers and external providers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Selection and evaluation of data and analytics tools and platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their data needs and expectations, and delivering solutions that add value and impact.
  • Innovation and experimentation with data and analytics, exploring new opportunities, technologies, and methods to enhance business outcomes and customer experience.

  • Foster a data-driven culture and empower stakeholders across the organisation with data literacy and skills, providing training, coaching, and support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A university degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field are desired
  • Relevant certifications in data and analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI).
  • Proven track record of delivering application solutions, support, and enhancements that enable business operations and innovation.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining application platforms and solutions, using cloud-based technologies and best practices.
  • Strong experience in data governance, data quality, data security, and data compliance.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of delivering data and analytics solutions, insights, and visualisations that support business decision making and innovation.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data and analytics platforms and solutions, using cloud-based technologies and best practices.
  • Ability in selecting and evaluating data and analytics tools and platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their data needs and expectations, and delivering solutions that add value and impact.
  • Fostering a data-driven culture and empowering stakeholders across the organization with data literacy and skills.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of data and analytics concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of data and analytics tools and platforms, especially cloud-based technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of data and analytics techniques and methods, such as data engineering, data warehousing, data modelling, data visualization, data analysis, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, such as data quality, data security, data compliance, data ethics.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as agile, scrum, devops.
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions within the commercial and/or residential property industry.
