Primary Function of Position:

The RAQA Process Excellence Specialist works with the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence as well as the RAQA leadership team and staff to lead strategic planning processes and strategic and key projects across the organization. This individual will serve as a program manager to organize, coordinate, oversee, and execute strategic business initiatives to improve performance. They will be responsible for enhancing productivity, coordinating, and executing strategic initiatives, program management, and developing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management between departments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in operational excellence, with a special focus on interdepartmental collaboration. This is a vital role in helping to drive operational excellence across the organization.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence in identifying areas of improvement within the business and providing data-informed solutions and actionable plans to address
  • Collaborate with the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence and RAQA leadership and other stakeholders to determine and prioritize business strategies
  • Develop roadmaps to operationalize, track and report on strategic goals and priorities and translate them into a comprehensive strategic plan
  • Leads strategic projects within RAQA and coordinate with other project management teams within the organization
  • Lead meetings to drive decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation and execution
  • Partner with Analytics and Business Intelligence s to convert analyses into actionable insights
  • Gather and outline issues identified by the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence and RAQA LT and collect potential options to resolve program, project, or process issues to enable optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Bring expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc
  • Coordinates and/or facilitates meetings, events, and strategic activities involving Sr Director/ Sr Manager Operational Excellence and RAQA LT
  • Assist in project management by providing the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence and LT with coordination and facilitation of project scheduling
  • The individual will maintain project calendars, coordinate efforts across functional teams, and facilitate prioritization to bring projects to fruition – initiation to implementation
  • Manage meetings, designate roles/responsibilities, and follow up on assigned action items
  • As directed by the Sr Director/ Sr Manager RAQA Operational Excellence, serve as key liaison on cross-functional projects and initiatives.


Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with project management, strategy, analytics, business process improvement, research, or business operations in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of quality and regulatory processes within medical devices/diagnostics
  • Experience in working with cross functional leaders, executives with tact and diplomacy, often on sensitive and confidential topics
  • Experience working on a global team and with direct and indirect staff
  • Experience with organizational change
  • Experience leading and managing within a highly regulated environment
  • Exceptional ability to partner cross-functionally and drive consensus; strong negotiation, facilitation and diplomacy skills to coalesce conflicting views
  • Strong project management experience
  • Lean/Six-sigma experience preferred
  • Ability to manage and adjust to multiple tasks and demands while constantly shifting priorities under tight deadlines and time constraints
  • Ability to identify and solve process issues when they arise, and propose options for solution to the Sr Director RAQA Operational Excellence
  • Strong data analysis skills in order to use data and facts to prepare materials and to support recommendations that are grounded on facts
  • Ability to attend ad-hoc meetings in a delegated capacity of the Sr Director RAQA Operational Excellence to collect meeting notes and relay information back to leaders Effective, versatile and action-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and with professional discretion
