Primary Function of Position:

We are looking for team members with analytical skill sets, manufacturing/supply chain/planning experience, to join the team with a mission to lead the SIOP planning process. The SIOP planning function relies on leveraging knowledge on large data sets to compute demand and supply plans to meet customer demand and maintain inventory targets. We measure this through various metrics such as Forecast accuracy/inventory health/Sales Plan v Actual and Build Plan vs Actual, First Pass Fill Rates etc. This role also provides paths to broaden experience, skills and network of colleagues in diverse functional areas.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional team SIOP process to develop best in class demand plan and optimum supply plan
  • Facilitate and drive collaboration with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance team members to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts over mid-term and long-term.
  • Review and make improvements to statistical forecasting models, to drive best- in- class forecast accuracy on demand plans
  • Analyze data output, historical shipments, procedure data and consumption to see if there are modifications required based on product segmentation.
  • Partner with Engineering/Marketing teams to understand product lifecycle, develop robust plans to enable new product launch and product end of life (EOL) planning.
  • Partner with manufacturing, planning, regulatory and facilities teams to understand and drive buffer strategies to enable building moves and plan for regulatory restrictions.
  • Understand/ manage safety stock/ inventory targets for various regions/ plants
  • Develop capacity and material constrained build plan through cross functional collaboration with appropriate teams
  • Support with Scenario planning through different Demand and Supply scenarios, understand & articulate impact
  • Represent their product families and present relevant data/ charts in the cross-functional SIOP meetings
  • Understand Key Performance Indicators such as Forecast accuracy, First Pass Fill Rate, Backorder, Finished Goods Inventory
  • Monitor performance to plan, eg. forecast versus actuals, and drive corrective actions/ mitigation plans
  • Use data-driven analytical rigor to accurately identify issues that lead to sub-optimal output and their root causes
  • Interact and support projects in SAP/o9, etc.
