 About the Role

Join the Group Finance Team at Infinite Care providing technical accounting support and play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting which will support internal management needs as well as statutory reporting requirements.

This role is a 12-month maternity leave contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide expert accounting guidance on transactions and operational activities, assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries, and support a smooth external audit process—all in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in audit or financial reporting—potentially from a Big 4 or mid-tier environment—who are seeking broader exposure, a collaborative team culture, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a purpose-driven organisation.

Working in a hybrid role may be on offer for the right candidate with WFH potentially 2 days per week and 3 days per week in the office once full training has been provided.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Managing effective liaisons with internal and external financial stakeholders and banking administration
  • Collate and review consolidated data and elimination entries contributing to the preparation of monthly financial results for all entities
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are reflective of the financial standards, ACFR requirements, tax legislations and organisational policies
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly statutory and regulatory reports
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for statutory compliance
  • Provide input across accounting, control, and process improvement
  • Prepare and compile detailed audit working papers as requested by the CFO and be a lead in liaising with external Auditors
  • Prepare/review BAS, income tax returns, financial statements, and statutory accounts for the consolidated group.
  • Completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Writing methodology papers on accounting and tax treatment of more complex issues.
  • Experience and application of complex accounting standards like IFRS 16
  • Assist with month end deliverables alongside the Group Finance Team
  • Liaise with the ATO and external tax advisors and external accounting advisors on any company tax or accounting issues 

 As a successful applicant you must have:

  • Accounting, Business, or other tertiary/professional qualification.
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience working in a multi-tiered structure
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles and applicable accounting standards
  • Ability to work effectively across other departments within the organisation
  • Practical experience with Excel and ERP (Technology One experience will be ideal)
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Experienced working in the age care field (desirable)
  • Audit/Tax background within public practice is advantageous.
  • Meticulous with reporting and detailed with any documentations
  • You have strong communication skills and would consider communication one of your key strengths
  • A positive, proactive approach with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Ideal for first move from Public Practise to a commercial role
