What's so exciting about this role?

Your voice matters! As a Field Sales team member at hummgroup's Consumer NZ, your main goal is to boost revenue and profitability by focusing on Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchants. By prioritising your merchants, you will ensure they receive the necessary attention to enhance their performance. You will manage higher-value engagements and take on business development tasks within your Tier 2 portfolio.

Your role involves identifying, developing, and growing key sellers to increase the number of active sellers and stores while maintaining profitability. Account Executives collaborate closely with all Consumer NZ teams to target high-value accounts and explore new opportunities. This teamwork approach aims to strengthen our market presence and drive overall growth

 Additionally, your role encourages greater engagement with Humm products across both online and in-store settings. By building strong relationships and offering strategic support, you will help integrate Humm products into key sellers' point-of-sale systems, driving increased usage and satisfaction.

 What Does An Average Day Look Like?

 No day is average at hummgroup but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

  •  Proactively manage and optimise seller and store performance within your assigned territory
  • Consistently meet/exceed business sales targets, aligning with company expectations.
  • Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly sales goals by prioritising effectively and engaging extensively with seller staff and in-store activities.
  • Execute the sales strategy with a deep understanding of the key drivers for desired outcomes.
  • Adhere to pricing policies, ensuring compliance and achieving targeted product yields and profitability.
  • Train, coach, and manage seller staff to ensure compliant selling practices and adherence to product policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a robust face-to-face and call-based engagement programme, regularly reporting retailer feedback for your key accounts.
  • Utilise CRM to meticulously capture all activities, insights, notes, actions, compliance, and reporting, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up on agreed actions.

  • High understanding of sellers needs across segments and markets
  • High understanding of how to engage sellers and stores to activate and increase product acceptance
  • Ability to work multidisciplinary functions to achieve results
  • Proven success in Strategic Relationship Management and/or new business development sales environment in payments or retail services
  • Experience of dealing with financial products such as BNPL and long-term interest free products
  • Amazing customer service ethos and great customer engagement, along with an easy approach to doing business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have a proven track record in planning, producing and executing sales strategy that drives high performance
  • Is a high-achiever, self-directed and ambitious, with attention to the finer details
