What's so exciting about this role?
The fraud, decisioning and credit analytics team, which sits within the Credit Risk, Fraud & Collections department at hummgroup, are responsible for managing risk for hummgroup and its customers by leveraging actionable insights from data analytics and configuring risk systems.
The purpose of this role is to ensure risk business requirements are effectively delivered through our systems solutions through both direct configuration of workflows and engagement with vendors.
What does an average day look like?
At hummgroup, there are no ordinary days. you will be responsible for:
- Enhance, configure, and maintain the Collections (Katabat) and Credit Risk (illion Decisioning Service) platform to align with organizational business strategies and objectives, focusing on enhancing system functionality.
- Identify, analyse, resolve root causes with rapid response and resolution of critical incidents, minimizing downtime and adverse impacts on business continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Documenting, tracking, and delivering functional and non- functional requirements under both Agile and Waterfall project delivery approaches.
- Author common project artefacts such as Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, Test cases amongst others.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to facilitate delivery of system changes to meet business objectives.
Who will thrive in this role?
- Prior experience configuring risk management systems and workflows (Collections and Credit Risk systems highly desirable)
- Possess senior-level expertise in IT operations and application management, with demonstrated proficiency in various software, applications, and data integrations. (exposure to SaaS, Microsoft .NET web application, SOAP web services, XML, Windows service, Python, SQL desirable)
- Has a friendly 'can do' attitude and sense of humour, along with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills that you can apply to complex scenarios to provide practical, efficient, and robust solutions.
- Demonstrate very well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and confidence in communicating within a range of environments.
You will operate effectively within a fast paced, multi-geography, Agile model and use your exceptional communication skills to ensure clarity and alignment. You’ll thrive in a challenging environment, keep calm under pressure, have a curious mindset and work collaboratively to balance shared deliverables.
In addition to the softer skills, you will need to possess a thorough understanding of design and deployment of a range of business applications systems as well as sound knowledge of development standards and procedures.
