Hospitality Training Network (HTN) is seeking an eager and dedicated 1st or 2nd Year Butchery Apprentice to join the team at Sutcliffe Meats.

This position would be suitable for applicants who have already commenced their Apprenticeship or at least 6 months butchery experience.

What's involved:

As the Apprentice Butcher, you will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills within the Butchery industry assisting in the below tasks, but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the team to learn all aspects of a becoming a successful butcher.
  • Provide exceptional service to our valued customers.
  • Ensuring that meat recipes are followed properly during preparation.
  • Cut, trim and shape standard cuts of meat to size.
  • Assemble and operate mincers, grinders, mixers, patty-forming or sausage forming machines.

To suit this role you will be eager, reliable and have a passion for all things meat! You will take pride in your presentation, have good communication skills and seek out opportunities to learn in your everyday duties.

In order to be eligible for an apprenticeship in NSW you must be either an:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Australian Permanent Residency
  • New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
