What’s involved:

As an Apprentice Chef, you will learn alongside qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Working with us allows you to learn and build experiences from skilled professionals within a commercial kitchen environment. You will be working at one of our great host venues, working with large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities you can expect will be:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of high quality, well presented dishes
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, choppers, fryers, steamers under supervision
  • Learn and develop your culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs
  • Maintain cleanlines and organisation in the kitchen
  • Follow food and safety standard and kitchen procedures

What we are looking for?

  • A keen interest in cooking and the food industry
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous kitchen/ hospitality experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Wage:

Award Wages Apply

In order to be eligible for an apprenticeship in NSW you must be either an:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Australian Permanent Residency
  • New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
