An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business with an amazing culture. We are looking for a Data Science Manager to lead and drive the development of innovative data-driven solutions that will shape the future of our business and our clients.

You will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of data science projects from ideation to deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams. As part of a small but highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business growth.

The role

In this role, you will take ownership of establishing our new data science function, playing a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy. Your technical expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and statistical modelling will be essential as you design our data architecture and drive impactful data science projects. You will have the opportunity to craft innovative solutions that address complex business challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with business stakeholders to translate their ideas into actionable insights and predictive models. With strong support from the organisation, you will be empowered to realise your vision and help build a robust data science capability.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading or working within a data science team, ideally with hands-on expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, project management, and data analysis and modelling.
  • Produces high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented code in data science projects, ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.
  • Has experience in technical design and architecture for data science solutions. You should be able to understand business objectives and the broader system architecture, and design scalable, maintainable, and secure data models and solutions that meet these requirements.
  • Holds a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or has equivalent experience.
  • Enjoys thinking critically and creatively when designing data-driven solutions to solve complex business challenges.
  • Is a strong communicator who can explain complex data science concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders, translating data into actionable business outcomes.
  • Prefers working in a small, collaborative team where they can make a real impact by driving business growth through data-driven decisions.
  • Is curious and passionate about emerging data science technologies, machine learning algorithms, and how they can be leveraged to solve business problems.
