About the role:
This position is responsible for managing the Compliance and Resolutions teams, implementing and monitoring the Hostplus compliance framework, and providing technical superannuation compliance support.
About you:
We are looking for a proven leader with a history of managing, reviewing and implementing compliance in complex financial services firms such as ours. You have an extensive knowledge of Compliance, Legislative and Regulatory requirements relevant to financial services and superannuation industry. You know risk framework and risk management principles and it is desirable that you have knowledge of Hostplus' strategy and business plans.
You'll have the ability to foster a constructive and high performing, happy team environment with a history of passionately managing, coaching and leading team to achieve department objectives, including team workload prioritisation and planning, exhibiting sound business judgment and commercial acumen with a high level of personal and business ethics.
You develop and work closely with key internal & external stakeholders and proactively seek involvement across a range of business levels and are able to explain issues logically and clearly to different audiences, verbally and in writing.
It is highly desirable that you have accomplished all of the following:
- A tertiary qualification in business, law or related discipline
- Relevant compliance certification
- RG 146 (or willing to obtain this), and
- 8 years’ experience working in compliance, audit, or risk within the financial services &/or superannuation sector at a senior level
