As Head of Legal, Governance & Resolutions, you’ll lead a talented team to deliver expert legal advice, drive best-practice governance, and oversee dispute resolution, helping Hostplus deliver better outcomes and a dignified retirement for our members.

The opportunity

Step into a senior leadership role where you’ll set the strategic direction for a talented team, support Chiefs, and the Board and CEO on complex legal and governance matters. Drive process improvements, oversee external dispute resolution, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Hostplus.

About you

You are an accomplished legal professional with significant experience in superannuation, financial services, or other highly regulated environments. You bring at least 10 years of post-admission experience and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. Your expertise spans corporate governance, legal risk management, and navigating complex regulatory frameworks. You have a practical understanding of the Corporations Act, SIS Act, and other relevant legislation, and you’re comfortable advising Boards, Committees, and senior executives on strategic matters.

You thrive in dynamic environments, are passionate about continuous improvement, and have a collaborative, solutions-focused approach. Your leadership style is inclusive and empowering, and you’re committed to developing others while driving results. Above all, you’re motivated by making a positive impact, helping members achieve a secure and dignified retirement through sound legal and governance practices.
