The opportunity
Hostplus is seeking a Senior Manager - Regulatory Change to lead and oversee the implementation of legislative and regulatory changes across our organisation. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our compliance framework remains robust and effective amidst a dynamic regulatory landscape. You will drive the identification, assessment, and integration of regulatory changes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to embed these changes into our business processes and decision-making. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by safeguarding our organisation's compliance and risk management practices while contributing to our overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and lead the implementation of upcoming legislative and regulatory changes, providing oversight and acting as the lead for risk and compliance-related projects.
- Lead the delivery of comprehensive regulatory change impact assessments.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate regulatory changes into business processes and decision-making.
- Oversee external consultants and contractors supporting regulatory change initiatives.
- Prepare, deliver, and manage regulatory change forums and steering committees.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure our risk management and compliance activities are relevant and effective.
- Collaborate with key leaders in risk, compliance, and legal to identify and deliver key regulatory changes.
About you
- 5 to 7 years of experience in risk advisory and/or regulatory interpretation and change, with a preference for people leadership experience.
- In-depth understanding of compliance, legislative, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services industry, particularly the Australian superannuation sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of the financial services industry, including the Corporations Act, SIS Act, and other applicable legislation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Established people leadership and coaching skills.
- Tertiary qualification in commerce or a legal qualification, or equivalent years of relevant experience
