About the role:
As an Insurance Claims Manger the primary purpose of your role will be to manage the end to end Insurance Claims and Service. This includes leading and coaching of a team of insurance coordinators, claims management, underwriting and operational structures.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and manage all team Claims Coordinators including performance management
- Ensure compliance with approved claims processing requirements
- Assist in ensuring appropriate processes are developed and maintained to ensure insurance premiums accurately and timely charged to our members and employers and remitted to insurers
- Assist in building and governing frameworks to capture and manage all requirements
- Identify risks and opportunities and initiate process improvements across claims procedures.
- Maintain a quality focus with emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with insurers and the Administrator to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims assessment process, including achievement of agreed service standards as required
- Liaise with insurers to make sure that members expectations are being met
- Regular reporting to management and analysis including data integrity checks
About you:
- Previous experience within financial services industry
- Strong experience in managing and leading staff
- Sound understanding of Death & TI Claims Management
- Project management experience
- Team engagement and delivery
- Operational management experience within the insurance industry
- Experience in a similar position within superannuation / insurance, ideally in an administration processing environment
- Exceptional problem-solving ability
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Commerce/Economics or a related discipline
