The Opportunity
Due to strong growth, our Brisbane Remanufacturing branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter / Fitter Machinist / Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the team based in Wacol as a Workshop Fitter.
In this role, your key focus will be to provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to our Hitachi earthmoving equipment and associated product lines, This will include disassembling & assembling Hitachi OEM components. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
- Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist, Heavy Diesel trade qualifications or Experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to move into mining and construction machinery industry, or you have just completed mobile plant apprenticeship and you are looking to learn OEM machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Having experience within a similar role or in a workshop environment would be highly advantageous
