The Opportunity

With strong growth in our Distribution Centre our Brisbane branch is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join the team as a Warehouse Leading Hand for our day shift. In this role, you will bring the Hitachi brand, values, strategy and customer service promise to life through industry leading service and excellent leadership skills.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will:

  • Ensure you team is in compliance with our company Environmental Policy, Quality Assurance System and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Implement changes and actions as directed by SDC Manager and Supervisors
  • Monitor performance management, providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to the team
  • Manage the day to day operation of the supply of quality parts to both external customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of service delivery
  • Liaise with freight companies to follow up freight shortages and process claims for damaged or missing freight.
  • Manage and supporting the day-to-day operations, activities and co-workers of the inbound team including rostering, breaks.
  • Ensure KPIs are communicated and achieved throughout the team.

  • Have a proactive response to problem resolution and delivering on customer expectations
  • Display resilience, professionalism and enthusiasm to motivate the team to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Maintain strong business relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Have intermediate to advanced computer skills, experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Have an understanding and experience with earthmoving / construction equipment or related industry
