Auto Electrician - Mining Assembly

The Opportunity

Our Mining Assembly division has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team. In this role, your key focus will be to work in a team of mining assembly employees on the new machine builds, meeting tight deadlines in a safe manner. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all new machine assembly is completed as scheduled, whilst maintaining the quality of all machines that are assembled.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Liaise closely with mining assembly supervisor and leading hand to ensure that the customer receives exactly what they have ordered, and delivery targets are achieved.
• Assisting the mining assembly leading hand with other related duties.
• Ensuring all relevant assembly and as-build documentation is completed, assisting in capturing information for local option portfolio.
• Liaise closely with mining assembly coordinator to further standardise local options installed to EX and EH mining equipment. 
• You will be well equipped to perform your best when performing new installations, diagnostic evaluations on mining machinery.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else.
• Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) electrical trade qualifications.
• Have previous experience with the electrical systems on mining equipment, assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of Electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
• Have a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive, long term relationships.
• Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM.
