The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated, trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to bring their skills to our workshop team. Based in the Dandenong branch, this role will see you prepare new Hitachi and Bell products to customer specifications, and provide quality diagnostics and maintenance services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or specified times targeting improved job efficiency.
  • Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
  • Have previous experience with the overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment and/or truck diagnostics
  • Heavy Rigid and Forklift licence would be highly regarded
  • A commitment to safety and strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
  • Able to work within a team environment
