The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to support our operations in Revesby, Newcastle, Gunnedah, and Muswellbrook. You will be based at either our Newcastle or Muswellbrook Branch, whereby you will have regular travel to all four locations. Reporting to the National HR Manager in Brisbane, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver both operational and strategic HR solutions. Your expertise will contribute to team and culture initiatives company wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering: Partner with employees and line managers in provide timely contemporary advice on all HR and performance related topics.
- Industrial & Employee Relations: Advise managers on awards, EBAs, workplace legislation, dispute resolution, and employee relations. Support enterprise bargaining as needed.
- Recruitment & On-boarding: Manage the on-boarding and induction of new employees.
- Performance Management: Coach and support managers on performance planning and professional development.
- Learning & Development: Assist in identifying training needs and direct to the training department where appropriate.
- Remuneration & Benefits: Provide payroll support and advice on award interpretation, pay clarification, and associated benefits.
- HR Projects: Participate in national, regional, or global HR projects.
- General HR Administration: Handle recruitment requisitions, new starter packs, employment contracts, bonus letters, and salary/wage increase notifications.
About You
You are passionate about HR with a strong focus on industrial relations. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years of experience as an HR generalist in a multi-site business.
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources, management, or a related discipline.
- Solid knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, and workplace policies.
- Experience supporting enterprise bargaining.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger HR team.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders.
- Willingness to travel at short notice across the region.
