Site Manager

Hindmarsh is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team delivering a major $80M community and sporting development in Fairfield, Western Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key leadership role on a significant project that will deliver new facilities for the local community.

Working closely with the Project Manager, commercial and engineering teams, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of construction activities on site, coordinating subcontractors, managing the construction program and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

As Site Manager at Hindmarsh, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the day-to-day delivery of construction activities on site
• Implementing the construction program and coordinating the sequencing of works to achieve key project milestones
• Leading and coordinating Site Supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring construction progress and proactively resolving issues that could impact program, quality or delivery
• Driving high standards of safety, quality and environmental performance across the site
• Ensuring construction is delivered in accordance with design documentation, specifications, codes and contractual requirements
• Identifying and resolving constructability issues in collaboration with the project and design teams
• Working collaboratively with the commercial team to support procurement, variations and delivery planning
• Managing quality assurance, inspections and defect rectification throughout construction
• Coaching and supporting developing team members and creating a collaborative, high-performing site culture

We are looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years' experience in site management or supervision within commercial construction
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and suppliers on large and complex building projects
• Strong construction knowledge with the ability to plan, sequence and coordinate multiple trades
• A strong understanding of Australian construction standards, codes and safety requirements
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build a positive, accountable site culture
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• A Building, Construction Management or related qualification, or relevant trade background
• Experience using Aconex, MS Project, Bluebeam or similar construction software
