Claremont Quarter is Perth's premier retail destination, because it is more than just another shopping centre. With high streets Bayview Terrace and St Quentin Avenue seamlessly flowing into two levels of open malls, a cosmopolitan village atmosphere is created. It covers 30,000sqm and is located in one of Perth's most affluent suburbs, drawing shoppers from across the metropolitan area.

Your role as Senior Leasing Executive is to maximise the investment returns and minimise risk through strategic leasing in line with agreed business plans, and to work in partnership with the General Manager Leasing and Centre Manager, Claremont Quarter to further activate retail, adding vibrancy and diversity to the retail experience for customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, contract, monitor and follow-up with new retailers that meet the asset vision and strategy.
  • Negotiate, contract, and follow up with existing retailers that meet the asset vision and strategy.
  • Development and implementation of leasing strategies, including tenancy mix strategies and leasing plans.
  • Lease negotiation, documentation, and instructions to the Lease Administrator.
  • Introduction of new and existing tenants to fit-out procedures and expectations whilst ensuring effective communication with the Tenancy Fit-out Coordinator.
  • Introduction of new tenants to the Marketing team and assistance in managing expectations.
  • Regular liaison with tenants, external retail leasing agents and tenant representatives.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of market trends and movements in retail leasing transactions.
  • Work with General Manager Leasing, General Manager Claremont Quarter and Centre Manager to prepare leasing forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist with the management of all legal and insurance requirements pertaining to leases.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years retail leasing experience with project leasing highly regarded.
  • Current REBA Sales Registration.
  • Valid Driver’s License and road worthy vehicle essential.
  • Qualifications, training and development in shopping centre leasing, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Proven record of closing leasing negotiations in a timely manner
  • Established strong network of national and independent retailers.
  • Well-developed planning and organisation skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple deadlines whilst delivering accurate and quality work.
