As the Assistant Operations Manager you will report to the Portfolio Operations Manager where your role is to assist the relevant site based Operations Managers with the operational, environmental and safety aspects of Hawaiian Properties to best industry practice.

This is a 12-month full time contract with the possibility of extension or permanency.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain effective customer, tenant, and contractor relationships in line with Hawaiians Customer Service Philosophies.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with the gathering of quotes and assist in the delivery of project management of capex projects.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with contractor management, including but not limited to cleaning, security, fire, HVAC and electrical.
  • Learn and Understand Hawaiian and legislative reporting requirements.
  • Participate in consultation and communication arrangements.
  • Communicate OHS information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the development and maintenance of the Asset Risk Register
  • Monitor site access arrangements, including provision of a site-specific induction, as required.
  • Complete and/or assist with monitoring activities, associated with the environment, facilities and amenities, works undertaken by contactors and event delivery.
  • Participate in internal and external audit programs.
  • Escalate incidents or other events that may have a significant impact on people, environment, asset and/or Hawaiian reputation. 

Qualification Requirements:

  • 1 year Industry experience and / or Trade background advantageous.
  • Maintenance experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience and ability to quickly learn new systems with training.
  • Knowledge of mechanical services, hydraulic systems and electrical advantageous.  
  • Knowledge of building management systems including controlling lighting, security & air-conditioning advantageous.
  • Valid West Australian Drivers Licence and own roadworthy vehicle.
